The game's narrative unfolds in a series of disjointed scenes. The guard, after watching some of the tapes, witnesses a blinding white light engulf the room. The story abruptly transitions to a diner where an unnamed female Assassin is tasked with retrieving videotapes for her employer, and a gruesome scene of a corpse being devoured by birds unfolds outside. The Assassin is instructed to smuggle the tapes across a mysterious "border."
Gameplay:
As the narrative progresses, it shifts to various characters and locations, such as an apartment complex where the Smuggler's neighbor seeks a disturbing videotape, a car journey with eerie changes in the passenger seat, and encounters at a gas station mini-mart with a looming dark figure. Additionally, it introduces an unnamed female Birdwatcher exploring a forest, discovering a dome-like structure, and encountering unsettling recordings from the "Power Company." The Birdwatcher eventually faces a monstrous, camera-distorting creature.
Returning to the Smuggler's journey, they navigate a countryside filled with destroyed objects, while the gas station encounters repeat with the menacing dark entity by the car. The Assassin reappears in the diner, eliminating a man watching the tapes, only to be trapped in a time loop when viewing the tapes herself. The narrative circles back to the initial scene with the security guard, resulting in a surreal conclusion where the guard's head transforms into a flickering television screen.

Finally, the Assassin, armed with her revolver, explores the forest where the Birdwatcher ventured. She discovers the Birdwatcher's mutilated body wrapped around a pole, retrieves her camera, and reports the gruesome scene to emergency services.
